**Empowering Moms: A Special PPD Class on Mother’s Day**

At the Itūūra Family Foundation, one of the ways we provide meaningful support to mothers is through our **Postpartum Depression (PPD) awareness and support classes**. These sessions are carefully tailored to educate expectant mothers about what to expect after childbirth, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to navigate the challenges of motherhood with confidence and resilience.
What makes our approach special is that these classes are not just a one-time event. We reconnect with moms after their babies are born, offering a continued space to share their experiences, identify any signs of postpartum depression, and receive the help they need to thrive during this life-changing season.
Recently, one of our classes stood out as particularly memorable—it took place at a **local community center that we partner with**, where we were invited to join their **Mother’s Day celebration**. The collaboration was a beautiful opportunity to bring our expertise to the center’s heartfelt event, creating a space to both celebrate and empower the mothers in attendance.

The class provided an invaluable resource to these moms, many of whom wouldn’t normally have access to such support in their communities. The session included **practical tips on managing emotional health**, open discussions about the challenges of motherhood, and encouragement to seek help when needed. It also gave the moms a chance to connect with each other, sharing their journeys in a warm and welcoming environment.
Ending on a joyful and celebratory note, the event allowed the moms to not only leave with a wealth of insights but also a sense of belonging and hope. Sharing this special day with them made it even more impactful—what better way to honor Mother’s Day than by equipping mothers with the tools and support to thrive?
At the Itūūra Family Foundation, we believe in creating **moments that matter**. Whether it’s by addressing postpartum depression, celebrating motherhood, or providing a listening ear, our mission is to ensure no mother feels alone on her journey.

We’re grateful to the local community center for inviting us to be a part of their Mother’s Day celebration and giving us the opportunity to empower these incredible women. Together, we’re building **stronger, healthier, and more resilient families**—one mother at a time.
If you’re a mom, a soon-to-be mom, or someone who believes in supporting mothers in need, join us in making a difference. Together, we can create a brighter, stronger future for families everywhere.
